Pick up your motorhome and leave Miami to head to the Grassy Key RV Park campsite. It is recommended to book in advance to get a position on the beach line.

11 km of bridge and a few more to pass through Marathon, Big Pine Key, among several other keys, towards Key West (Key West). The campsite is Boyd’s Key West Camground, 8 km from the southernmost tip of the key, a place of great charm. 85 km to Key West. Visit Ernest Hemingway’s favourite Captain Tony and Smoky Joe pubs. Don’t miss the sunset from Mallory Pie.

There is only one exit road, north, to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Created in 1963, it was the first underwater park in the country and occupies, along with the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, 46,101 hectares of coral reefs, seaweed bottoms, and mangrove swamps. 161 km to Pennekamp National Park. Visit the Coral Reef and the National Marine Sanctuary.
You leave the keys to head to Everglades National Park. It is not a swamp but a wide river that flows to the southwest. It is recommended to book online accommodation in the Flamingo Campground, of curious location. 116 km to Everglades National Park. Visit the park by car, on foot or by water.
Departure to Sanibel Island. The Periwinkle Park & Campground is an ideal place for bird watchers: toucans, macaws and lemurs. 367 km to Sanibel on Route 41 through the Everglades and Big Cypress National Reserve. Visit the beaches of Captiva Island and end the day with a drink at The Mucky Duck pub.
Back on dry land, take Interstate 75 and 275 toward Fort DeSoto Country Park. It occupies 460 hectares and covers five interconnected islands. Ideally mounted for fishing, cycling or sailing. 228 km to Fort DeSoto Park. Just walk through the park to enjoy the day.
Next destination: Disney World and Fort Wilderness. Book with an indication of the number of nights you want to spend according to the Disney World theme parks you plan to visit. 157 km to Fort Wilderness. Visit every corner of Disney World plus Orlando’s other attractions, such as Universal Studios.
Exit east towards Atlantic: Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. You can visit the launch sites, see the gigantic rockets, the space flight simulators and the close-up image of the Moon via iMax. Hopefully even an astronaut or a new launch. The recommended campsite is close to the south and 10 minutes from the beaches. 246 km to Fort Pierce. Visit the Kennedy Space Center and Fort Pierce Inlet State Park.
You can go straight down the Interstate or walk the curves of the coast to places like Hobe Sound, Jupiter or the elegant ones like Palm Beach and Boca Raton. The next destination is camper favorite North Coast near Dania Beach. 165 km to Dania Beach. Visit Palm Beach’s elegant Worth Avenue and enjoy the sun and night in Fort Lauderdale.
Travel 68 km to Miami and return the motorhome.
