This itinerary takes you to the famous cities of Philadelphia, Washington DC, Niagara Falls and New York and is full of surprises. It starts in New York or Newark to reach Blueberry Hill RV Park, close to the splendid beaches of the Atlantic and the city of Atlantic City, full of fun. 307 km from New York or 195 km from Newark NJ. Visit Long Branch, a favorite beach of seven presidents, and Beaux Arts Woodrow Wilson Hall.
A short drive inland. The campsite is located less than 20 km from the “cradle” of the nation, Philadelphia. 94 km to Philadelphia. Visit Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, among other places of interest.
College Park is not only the site of our closest campsite to Washington DC, but also the airport founded by the Wright brothers a century ago. Public service buses and organized tours to Washington DC depart from the site. 191 km to College Park. Visit Capitol Hill, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Smithsonian Institute, Kennedy’s grave in Arlington Cemetery, among other points of interest.
Bedford (Pennsylvania), on the shores of Lake Erie is an ideal destination for today. The entire city is declared a National Historic District. Its area retains numerous roofed bridges. 225 km to Friendship Village. Visit Old Bedford and Fort Bedford.
Millions of tourists visit Presque Isle State Park annually for its beaches and trails. It is located on a long sand bar whose presence demands numerous lighthouses. 358 km to Erie. Visit the attractions of Waldameer Park and Water World, or the wineries of Lake Erie.
It runs along the shore of Lake Erie to reach Niagara Falls. The campsite is close to Martin’s Fantasy Island. 185 km to Niagara Falls. Visit Canada. The falls are most spectacular from the Canadian side. It is crossed by the Rainbow Bridge among other points.
Watkins Glen State Park was once famous for the US Grand Prix and is one of several parks in the Finger Lakes region that adorn New York State. 250 km to Watkins Glen State Park. Visit Seneca Lakes, Sampson and Lodi Point State Parks by touring the east shore of Seneca Lake from north to south.
The return to New Jersey in half a day leads to the metropolitan area of New York City. The campsite is in front of Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline, on the opposite bank of the Hudson River. To get to the city there is a ferry or a metro that takes just over 15 minutes. 405 km to Jersey City. Visit New York City: theaters, restaurants, walks, etc.
In contrast to the city, it is recommended to tour Long Island along the Atlantic coast, passing through JFK International Airport, Shinnecock Hills, or the elegant area of the Hamptons. 190 km to Hither Hills State Park (Campground). Visit Fire Island National Seashore.
Return along the other coast of Long Island; there are places of interest in the so-called Long Island Sound. Overnight in Jersey City, near New York. 29 km to Liberty Harbor. Visit Manhattan day or night.
