All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement signed with the Cruise America office or with Cruise Canada for the departure of the vehicle. The Rental Agreement is the document that establishes the relationship between you (the Customer) and Cruise America/Cruise Canada.

MINIMUM RENTAL PERIODS
All motorhomes – 1 Week (7 Nights)

AXIMUM RENTAL PERIODS

The maximum rental period available at the flexible rate (flexrate) amounts to thirty-five (35)  nights starting from the original departure date. Additional rental days have to be recalculated using the flex rate from day 36. Often our booking agents will simply calculate an ‘average’ flex rate for the entire rental period for your convenience.

DAYS CLOSED

All Rental Centers are closed on Sundays and holidays. On Sundays and holidays no return or
 departure can be set, no matter under what circumstances.

THE ARRIVAL

Your first overnight stay in North America after an international flight must be in a hotel/motel. You are not authorized to drive a motorhome on the day of your arrival.

 Early bird landlords. With the advance purchase of Early Bird Departure Special, the transfer from a designated hotel area, notified in advance, can be done from 9:00 a.m. You need to call the Rental Center in the morning (or if possible the day before), starting at 8:30am for Cruise America / Cruise Canada to arrange your transfer and early arrival at the Rental Center. Unannounced arrivals at the Rental Center often cause delays in departure, for which Cruise America / Cruise Canada is not responsible. If you have checked into a hotel that is not in thedesignated area, you will be responsible for transportation and other Early Bird Departure Special benefits may be removed.

ARRIVAL AT THE RENTAL CENTER

>Familiarization with the vehicle

In order for you and other drivers to become familiar with the operation of the vehicle, a drive of about 25 minutes is necessary before the actual departure. Most centers have vehicle familiarization video presentations in multiple languages.

Driver Requirements

Vehicles may only be driven by qualified drivers over 21 years of age. All drivers must have a driving license. Your driver’s license and passport will be required for identification and will be verified. All drivers have to be identified, authorized and have to sign a Rental Agreement. Additional drivers do not cost extra nor is there an ‘under 25’ surcharge,

Superior model

It could be that the model you have reserved is inappropriate for a group. Where possible an upgrade to a higher category model will be allowed for a price determined by local rates. Our policy is to supply you with the reserved model. In some cases, under certain circumstances an upgrade to a higher category model may be necessary to allow immediate departure. Such update will be made without charge and without further responsibility of Cruise America / Cruise Canada.

Inferior model

 It could be that the model you have booked seems too big for comfort. Where possible will be upgraded to a lower category model without charge. In some cases, under certain circumstances an upgrade to a lower category model may be necessary to allow immediate departure. Downgrading, if accepted, will give you a credit based on the difference in price at the time of booking and will not be the further responsibility of Cruise America / Cruise Canada.

Luggage storage

When you go camping it is recommended to use collapsible luggage, which you should take with you. The remaining baggage can be stored in most of the rental centers, at your own risk and responsibility.
